2023Ningaloo Eclipse
This is my image of the Ningaloo total eclipse of the sun in Exmouth, WA, Australia. Only 56s gave 161 frames from 1/4s to 1/4000s exposure time. Canon EOS R5 with EF 300mm f/2.8 II and EF 2x III.
I made 2 versions, so you can decide which one you like more.

Amazing.
Can I have your permission to use this in eclipse talks I give?

I sent you an email

Amazing photography.
I too have a presentation and would like to use this picture.
Would you be so kind as to let me use this, also?
Thank you so much for considering this request.

Congratulations, i saw the image on APOD page today. It’s mind blowing.
How to do this?
How to automate the camera for taking so many images, with different settings. And is there a specialized software to merge such images. I am having a Nikon D800 and a 600mm lens.
Thanks.
Reinhold Wittich
I have a Canon EOS R5. You can setup AEB to get 7 different exposure values automatically when you press the shutter release. This image is made with 600mm focal length indeed. So you can do this in Texas next year with your Nikon. Unfortunately I do not have any specialized software. I wwish I had one.
Thanks.

I think I was the American who looked at your raw images just after, with your friend in the RV, if I am not mistaken. Well done on today’s APOD. Hopefully we’ll cross paths in the future again.
Reinhold Wittich
I think so too. Maybe we meet in Texas next year. For details please email me.
